Street and Transportation Closures Oscar Week 2013

Preparation for the Oscars (TM) will include building risers for the press; bleachers for the fans and erecting pre-show stages at varying places along the red carpet. Starting February 17, 2013 street closures and public transportation changes will begin. Hollywood Boulevard will be closed starting at 10:00p.m. February 17 between Highland Avenue and Orange Drive. The closure will remain until Tuesday February 26th 2013. The streets are expected to open on the 26th after 6:00 a.m.

MTA subway trains will not be stopping at the Hollywood and Highland station starting February 23, 2013 after the last regularly scheduled train and will continue to bypass the station until February 25, 2013. The train is expected to resume stops at the Hollywood and Highland station after 6:00a.m on the 25th of February.

Additional street and transportation closures will take effect throughout the Oscar week of February 17- 24, 2013. The City of Los Angeles has finalized these closures to ensure the safety of the public while the event's construction and ceremony is taking place.
