Wizard of Gore Screens Thursday at LAFilmFest
(released 6/25/2007)

Filmmaker Jeremy Kasten will have his Wizard of Gore screen on Thursday, June 28th at 10pm at The Landmark as part of the Los Angeles Film Festival.

This remake of Herschell Gordon Lewis' exploitation classic puts an up-to-date spin on the tale of an underground illusionist (played by Crispin Glover) who may be performing more than just sleight-of-hand tricks since volunteers from his audience keep turning up dead. Kasten's film is a wild trip into a taboo underworld where believing what you see could prove deadly. Wizard of Gore also stars Kip Pardue, Bijou Phillips, Brad Dourif, Jeffrey Combs and features a number of Suicide Girls.

The festival runs through Sunday, July 1st in Westwood Village. For details, go to www.LAFilmFest.com or call 866-FILM-FEST.
